Dialogo: "I believe in God, but I'm not religious."

We begin a second weekly blog posting with a chance for you to share your thoughts or comments around specific thoughts/phrases/or questions.

Our first "dialogo" (i.e., dialogue) is around this statement: I believe in God, but I'm not religious.

What does that mean for you? Or your friends?

I think this statement is a sorry excuse for disengagement from church. We are ALL "religious" in one way or another - it is in our nature. Maybe one's dedication to running or favorite tv show is his/her religion. The question to ask would be what it is about the "organized" religious experience that is such a turn off?

So, how would you answer your question?
